Good food .. great for its price

We go almost once a week. Good homemade food, service is great on French and English. Prices are great and the menu has something for everyone.

When we came here it was rather warm inside, so made it a little uncomfortable. However, we had a great breakfast for a great price! Would come back again

food is delicious, staff is very friendly . We recommend it to everyone we know. Best " feels like home" cooking in town !

The bacon was rancid. Toast was burnt.we both left with tummy aches. Told server who was nice but said no one complained ..n gave me sausages which were greasy and gross. I hate leaving bad reviews. But I feel ill now and thought I should

Everything about this place was off... Never again...

Price is good. The food is ok though. Don't be surprised if something on your order is off either. It's never anything big, usually just a minor detail. It's definitely worth what you pay. I'll likely go back.

Very welcoming and cozy. The food was very good and the quantity is certainly very generous. I was pleasantly surprised.

Very friendly ladies who work here! We love this spot. Friendly to both English and French. Great service. Decent and affordable breakfast. A bit dated but we don't mind. It's historical from the early 1900s!

This place is infested with ants and the service is super slow. We waited about an hour to get our food and my plate was still missing items. The menu is overpriced for what you get.

Cozy place just a 5 minute walk from the dentist office. Took my grandson for breakfast after his checkup.Lots of menu items to choose from. Service with a smile.

Great diner, great value, amazing tourtière !!

Restaurant Chez Barbe was one of our favorite restaurant. It was a good place to go for Sunday Brunch. After having not been there for a while we went after church last Sunday. Change, most noticeably quality and freshness "moldy fruits" also a cutback on service staff even Our favorite little waitress is gone. She was always attentive and friendly and mostly kept us entertained . Menu Change, Price Increase but no change in food amount or quality. The service was very slow, even though it was not crowded at all. So sad when a good place goes bad so fast. Restaurant may look busy, but it is not.

well not everyone has the same taste, but for me, food was oily, pancakes looks crunchy but full of oil.

Quaint cafe in Quebec. Had no idea what to expect and enjoyed the experience and the food.

The place is dirty and greasy floors, carpet and tables and looking into the cooking area it appeared to be no better . the waitress was ignorant and the coffee cup had lipstick on it. Fruits are moldy . its disgusting.

Chez Barbe is a cute little diner serving delicious breakfast digs. My eggs over easy were perfectly done and the bottomless coffee was fresh and tasty. It isn't the healthiest meal, but that's not why you'd go to chez Barbe.

This kind of places should be rewieved properly. We choose this place because of the rating in tripadvisor. Its dirty, and smelling bad food and dish. It wasnt full all the tables still you have to wait ca 7 minutes to get the menus, another 10 minutes to order and more thanl 30 minutes for an omelette and egg. There is a serious stress and hectic among the waiters , you feel really bad while seating. Its a terrible place!

Completely blown away by the amazing food. At first I thought it was just basic breakfast stuff but it was so much better than anywhere I ever tried. Had to order extra home fries for the kids they were that good. The decor was meh but at least it is clean and easy to get to from Ottawa.

Took a regular breakfast. Quite generous with the portions as they offered me three eggs in my order of two.

Sausage, bacon, meat pie, cretons... absolutely incredible. Couldn't choose just one item, I ordered them all. As a result, this review is being written from a washroom stall - I'll be here all day. This is my cross to bear. 5 stars.

It's a great place, with large portions, fabulous and friendly service. Good value.

Surprisingly good spot. For the price and location I was expecting lower quality but it turned out yummier than expected. The prices are all cheap and the food was tasty. Or hi g high quality but still good. Food was somewhat warm not hot. Lots of seating and plenty of street parking. Good spot for breakfast
